THE national volleyball federation (FRVB) and national team coach Paulo de Tarsio are in talks over a new contract, Peter Kamasa reports.

The Brazilian saw out his one-year contract in December and FRVB President Charles Uyisenga recently confirmed that new contract talks are on-going.

"We are still in talks about a new contract and hope to reach an agreement,” he said. "We have less than three months to the All Africa Games and the sooner we sort this thing out, the better for us,” Uyisenga added.

Among other achievements, Tarsio is credited for guiding the national junior team to 4th place in last year’s CAVB Africa Junior Championship in Libya.

In his absence, Paul Bitok has been filling the void.
