Amb Kabale presents credentials to FAO

KIGALI - The Rwanda’s Ambassador to France, Jacques Kabale Friday presented his letters of credence to Jacques Diouf, Director General of Food Agriculture Organization (FAO).

KIGALI - The Rwanda’s Ambassador to France, Jacques Kabale Friday presented his letters of credence to Jacques Diouf, Director General of Food Agriculture Organization (FAO).

Together with Dr. Fracesco Alicicco, Rwanda’s Honorary Consul in Rome, Kabale carried a message of friendship and esteem from President Paul Kagame to FAO Boss.

Receiving credentials, Diouf was pleased by Rwanda’s appointment of a head of mission to FAO saying that the collaboration will be more enhanced and productive.

He commended the developments taking place in Rwanda and hailed President Kagame for spearheading the country’s transformation.

Diouf added that, good governance, leadership and the role of women in the development have played a key role in the development process in Rwanda.

On his part, Ambassador Kabale thanked the Director General of FAO for the expertise provided to Rwanda as well as its contribution to mobilizing donors.

He highlighted on Rwanda’s priorities for the next seven years such as irrigation, the fight against soil erosion, quality improved food self-sufficiency and animal husbandry, processing and conservation of food and milk products, horticulture among others.

Kabale requested for the enhanced support of FAO in the government’s priorities.

Diouf further assured that FAO will continue supporting Rwanda adding that the country is a model of good Aid and funds management.
