Dear editor,

Allow me to whole heartedly thank the initiators of community policing program in Rwanda. We have been having unnecessary security problems that raged from pet theft to armed robbery.

And the only reason behind this has always been the poor coordination between the population and the police. Since we are now seeing the distance between the police and the society being given a strong bridge, I am so optimistic that we shall not have any ore security problems.

People have been seeing the police (in some cases as their enemies) meant to beat them, lock them behind bars etc, but their close cooperation will make their relation more friendly in a way.

The recent elections showed how the people of Rwanda are so interested in maintain their security when they up in masses to elect security leaders. The local readers too should get close to police and know that their inter-relations and or interdependence are of great necessity.

We the masses are behind this important initiative and we shall offer all the helped as it will be deemed necessary. Thumbs up for the Rwandan police for having initiated the community policing program!
