THE country’s entertainment scene is soon set for exciting times at it welcomes a comedy night dubbed "King of comedy”, that is to be launched on July 22.

George Mugabo, the founder of the theme said the comedy night aims at improving and developing the country’s entertainment scene.

"We realised that comedy industry in this country is still underdeveloped, that’s why we have decided to initiate this night at least to educate different skills among our younger talented Rwandans”

"Comedy is a source of income and it adds on the reputation of a country.

When you look at countries like Nigeria and USA, people are earning a lot of money from the industry”

"Therefore, we also want to get comedians who can represent our country at the international level,” he said
During the launch, different local and regional comedians are expected to perform.
