Editor,
I attended Akilah’s institute’s Open House day, last Saturday, and was amazed by their programmes. The institute, offers hospitality and leadership courses to young women and to me, this is one of the areas that deserve attention.
The hospitality/tourism industry is on the rise, and for it to succeed to greater heights, skilled personnel are paramount.
More young women should be encouraged to enroll into their programmes. I have no doubt that the job market still has a lot of room for people with skills in the hospitality field. And, by focusing on girls, the institute is playing a key role in women empowerment in the country.
Parents, guardians and young women should consider joining the institute as an avenue to a successful and fulfilling future.
