The clothing women choose to wear often depicts, culture, beliefs and the weather in the area where they live. Because of the heat, garments are often fashioned from cotton.

They are usually weightless and thus blend well with the atmosphere. One popular fashion item that is also used for a head scarf or head wrap is the African fabric.

It’s important to play around with colors seeing as it’s a current trend. So why not try it with the head wraps as well.

Head wrapping transcends all age groups today, it’s a trend that was embraced by women in the earlier days and catching on with today’s generation. It’s a beautiful way of celebrating culture; a fashionable option for women and not to mention how handy it will come on your bad hair days.

Tips on how to tie the head wrap.
Take the piece of material and drape the fabric over your head with the patterned side facing outward. The bottom edge of the material should line up with the base of your head.

Take the left side of fabric and pull it up and over your forehead so that it rests on the right side of your head.
Pull the right side of fabric and bring it up over your forehead so it rests on the left side of your head. The two pieces should be crossed over one another.

Tie both ends in a knot at the back of your head. Adjust the cloth in the front so it stands up slightly.
