THE race for Primus League survival continues this afternoon with some mouth-watering fixtures.
Mukura play Kiyovu at Mumena stadium while Amagaju take on Rayon Sport at Kigali Regional Stadium.

With three games to go, Mukura are second from the bottom with a meagre 14 points; a point clear of Amagaju and Musanze.

To make matters worse, their cause is not helped by the fact that their opponents (Kiyovu and Rayon) also need maximum points.

Kiyovu is battling Police for the right to finish second. The Green Baggies enjoy a one point cushion over their opponents but a slip up today will allow their adversaries to leapfrog them if they grind out a result against the newly crowned league champions APR.

With a tough Peace Cup quarter-final tie against Kiyovu just days away, Police will hope that Ernie Brandts puts out a weakened side.

Meanwhile, Rayon is also in a race for fourth place. The blues moved to 27 points after Saturday’s win over Mukura but still face stiff competition from AS Kigali, Etincelles and La Jeunesse.

Tomorrow, two games are on cards. Etincelles clash with AS Kigali at Umuganda Stadium while Musanze host bottom placed Muhanga in what is another relegation battle.

The two sides are separated by two points.
