This has reference to the interesting article in your Women’s Weekly Magazine titled " Shaking Sun’s launch and a Rwandan woman’s ICT touch " written by Gloria A. Iribagiza.

 Shaking Sun is yet another glorious example of women empowerment in this great country and further portrays the true " beauty " of Rwanda.

It is indeed very commendable that the young and enterprising Akaliza Gara has ventured out into the highly competitive ICT arena and started her own Company . With her initial small , yet competent team of four ICT web designers and one office secretary , I am sure she will go places in the years to come.

Rwanda Renaissance was instrumental in getting a Memorandum of Understanding signed last year between the Rwanda Private Sector Federation ( RPSF ) and the Indian Merchants’ Chamber  ( IMC ) , in the august presence of  the then Minister for Infrastructure, Vincent Karega , and Rwanda’s High Commissioner  to India, Williams Nukurunziza. 

The very purpose of signing this MOU was to facilitate trade , commerce , tourism and investments between Rwanda and India.

 We would encourage companies like Shaking Sun , Hehe Ltd., Beauty of Rwanda and many others to take advantage of this MOU and " Look East " beyond the shores of Africa, towards India.

They would surely do well to draw on the expertise of the members of the IMC which is a 104 year old leading Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the country.
