EMMANUEL Ruterana has vowed to make up for his disappointing show in the KCB –Arusha leg with a top-notch display in next week’s KCB Open.
The four-day tournament, which is also the second leg of the KCB East Africa Golf Tour, is slated to tee-off May 25 at Kigali Golf Club.
The 28-year-old professional golfer failed to make the cut in Arusha by one stroke but with great knowledge of his home course, he is confident of a good performance.
"I struggled to adjust to the course in Arusha but this (Kigali Golf Club) is my home course and there is no reason for not playing well,” he said.
Jean Baptiste Hakizimana, who finished joint 10th in Arusha, is also targeting a better display in the Rwf6.9m event which is expected to attract golfers from Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
Last year, Ruterana finished second to Kenya’s Simon Ngigi.
