Allow me, through your newspaper, to commend the cabinet, for granting accreditation to the Kigali Institute of management (KIM) and Gitwe College.

The KIM management had assured students several times that the process of accreditation was ongoing but many could not believe this.  We are happy to know that our institution is now officially recognised. We also commend the management for meeting all the requirements set by the Ministry of education and the Higher Education Council. Getting quality education will indeed help spur the development of our country.

I urge other unaccredited universities to do the same soon, in order to enhance the country’s academic standards.
