KIGALI - The new Minister of Natural Resources, Stanislas Kamanzi, has vowed to utilise all his efforts and turn challenges into assets in ensuring the advancement of the ministry’s programmes.
He disclosed this to The New Times shortly after receiving a handover report from the former minister Christophe Bazivamo.
"I am definitely ready and I will be giving the best of my capacity to ensure that all those challenges are transformed into assets and the targets we set are reached in due time,” he said.
The Minister added that the assigned responsibilities he had assumed were more demanding saying that what is required are concerted efforts from all ministerial staff to ensure the realisation of targets.
"The assignment is more demanding due to the fact that the number of sectors to be covered will increase,” Kamazi said.
The Ministry Environment and Lands and the Ministry Forestry and Mines were merged to form the Ministry of Natural resources.
"I will make sure that the resources needed like human and financial resources are available to ensure that we smoothly implement all the programmes.”
