THE national cricket team coach Davis Turinawe is worried about the hectic schedule of the ICC Africa Twenty20 Division 2 tournament which gets underway this Saturday in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The team departs this Friday and will be in action the next day against Botswana. They will then play back to back games against Ghana, Nigeria, Swaziland, Mozambique, Malawi, pre-tournament favourites Tanzania before wrapping up their preliminary stage campaign against Sierra Leone.

"As you can see, there is no breather so we may have cases of fatigue and exhaustion down the road,” the former Ugandan international said.

The one-week tournament is one of several regional qualifying events for next year’s T20 World Cup that will be hosted by Sri Lanka.

The top two qualifiers will proceed to the ICC – Africa T20 division one tournament which is scheduled to be held in Entebbe, Uganda. The event will be held in mid July.
