Police say, Ildephonse Nshirimpaka, allegedly killed Solange Bihoyiki on Friday night and then run away. The incident took place in Nyagitabire Cell, Nyagihanga Sector.
"He killed his wife and disappeared immediately,” a police official told The New Times, adding that investigations were ongoing to establish the motive of the crime.
Alex Iyamuremye, the acting Executive Secretary of Nyagihanga, said that the incident took place just days after the couple had reunited."They had been living separately for some time,” he said.
He added that local authorities are working with the Women Council to investigate families with conflicts.The late Bihoyiki is survived by two sons aged 6 and 7.
