Editor,
I am a resident of Kigali and I would, like through your paper, to commend the government for a great job done in refurbishing city roads.
If you drove or took a walk around our city today, you feel proud to be Rwandan.
The repairs made on the roads beginning last year probably make Kigali the first pot-hole free city in East Africa.
It takes the commitment of a government to ensure that roads are constructed acceptably and in the shortest time possible. This is unlike the case in some countries, where such a process is riddled with bureaucracy and corruption.
The side walks, the street-lights and the boulevards, and the graceful round-abouts are such a wonderful sight. They not only add beauty to the city but also impress foreign visitors.
The government has done a great job not only in the city but also on other roads linking the city to other parts of the country.
The Musanze-Kigali highway is nearing completion while the Muhanga-Ngororero-Mukamira road is one of the latest notable government projects.
Bravo the Government of Rwanda.
