On Saturday, May 7th, 2011, the Administration, staff and students of Green Hills Academy visited the Genocide Memorial site of Ntarama to remember the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.Ron Wallace, the Headmaster of the School said that the visit was to help Green Hills Academy students and staff to be more aware of what really happened during this darkest period of the Rwandan History.

Administration, staff and students of Green Hills Academy reiterated their wish not to see Rwanda fall again into such tragedy and called on everyone to work for the building of a peaceful and prosperous Rwanda.
A donation of Rwf500,000 was given to the Ntarama Memorial Site by Green Hills Academy Administration and staff.
