Jonnus Paulus II, né Karol Josef Wójtyla. Ring a bell? Most likely it doesn’t but, actually, that is Venerable Pope John Paul II.

That is the man who was beatified last Sunday for having led a heroically holy life. He is now with God and has the power to intercede with Him on our behalf. And I’m told he has served that cause twice so far.

The first intercession led to the miraculous cure of Sister Marie Simon-Pierre Normand from Parkinson’s disease.

When the nun was diagnosed and found with the disease in 2001, her fellow nuns advised her to pray that Pope John Paul II intercede for her. And sure enough, when the pope did, the disease vanished.

Now we are assured that that was only the beginning. Even as he was being beatified, Pope John Paul II performed another miracle.

The good news is given by President Alan Garcia of Peru himself: "His…miracle was to remove from the world the….demonic incarnation of crime and hatred, giving us the news that the person who blew towers and buildings is no longer.”

That "incarnation of hatred” is the now-departed Osama bin Muhammed bin Awad bin Laden, bin Laden to you and me.

And so, with a stroke of his intercession on our behalf, the Blessed John Paul has rid the world of the head of one terrorist group. We are sitting with bated breath, then, to be witness to the next miracle on his agenda.

As I see it, the agenda must be heavily laden because Venerable Pope must be having many debts. Take one small example of Rwanda.

When the pope came visiting in 1990, his diagnosis was quick: Rwanda was a country with "a thousand hills, a thousand problems and a thousand solutions.”

And before he bid this world bye, he was given a glimpse into the veracity of his diagnosis.

In 1994, Hell unleashed its entirety of demons and they set upon a section of Rwandans and practically wiped them out.

The demons, whose hands Blessed John Paul had unwittingly shaken, orphaned or smashed children; widowed and raped mothers; bludgeoned and buried men alive and left the country in an ocean of blood. The Catholic churches were their main killing fields.

Surely, the good pontiff must be itching to start putting those "thousand solutions” into effect. After crushing one demonic terrorist, he must be gearing for the mother of all operations: "Operation-Sink-Interahamwe”.

I can see the raping Rwandan terrorists ensconced in the D.R. Congo jungles being smoked out and peace finally reigning in that tortured land.

I can see him next going for the sponsors of those rapists where they are holed up in American and European capitals and cleansing those Western countries of the sin of harbouring terrorist-godfathers.

I can see his soul itching to cleanse its conscience because the pontiff did not utter the simple two-word sentence to his Rwandan clergy that would have saved hundreds of thousands: "Don’t kill!” The clergy would in turn have relayed the message to their flock.

Terrorists would be fewer today and then the Venerable Pontiff would truly be saintly.

Now is the time, then, and we are waiting to see the world free of terror.

Then the world community in their totality can truly celebrate, instead of only a few. Otherwise, Blessed John Paul, imagine how ridiculous some people look when they celebrate the death of one bearded man.

Osama may have headed a terrorist group that sowed grief in the world but no one should celebrate because a single cog in a wheel has fallen.

As a global community, we should only celebrate because all evil has been eradicated. And it can be done. All of humanity only needs to see the whole evil of terrorism as being bad for the global family.

Terrorism should not be seen in isolation where every individual sees only what affects them and seeks to deal with that only.

All the masters of terrorist groups together with their groups must be removed from the face of this earth once and for all.

Surely, Venerable John Paul, bring it to the attention of Glorious God. It is immoral for Americans and Europeans to celebrate over the death of Osama bin Laden when their countries are serving as safe havens for masters of terrorists who are raping, maiming and murdering in D.R. Congo. FDLR and all the terror groups of the countries on this earth must be stopped.

Alternatively, Blessed John Paul, plead with Magnificent Maker that a true miracle manifests itself to His people: have the hearts of these evil doers changed.

Let Him blow sense into them so that they can see that He made them so that they can live together in harmony.

Let it be revealed to them that united they can reap the riches of this earth but divided they can only drive themselves into harsh hell.

All humans were made in the image of God and must necessarily be saintly. Intercede for us, oh Venerable Pontiff, that God may make that happen
