Editor,

I am writing to comment on Wednesday’s Primus league encounter between Rayon Sport FC and Kiyovu FC, where the former lost 1-2.

As an APR FC fan, I have lived to watch the wonders and magic of the current Rayon Sport coach, Jean Marie Ntagwabira.

During his tenure at APR FC, we won almost every trophy we competed for in the country and in the region.
Continentally, we managed to give good fights against prominent clubs in North and West Africa. Most of us (APR FC fans) refer to his years at the club as the ‘golden years’
When he left APR FC, Ntagwabira lived up to his tradition of winning trophies even with relatively weak teams like Kiyovu FC.

Due to poor results at Rayon Sport, their new owners have brought in Ntagwabira, a man they knew would deliver them from the shame of finishing at the bottom of the table as predicated by many football pundits.

Now that he lost Wednesday’s match, many Rayon Sport fans have questioned his royalty to the club, the same accusations that won’t help them and the club.

What Ntagwabira needs is time to get the players together, because as a new man at the club, there he has not grasped the quality of the players he and the club have.
