JEAN Marie Ntagwabira and Jean Baptist Kayiranga are out to prove a point against their former sides this afternoon.
Ntagwabira, who joined Rayon Sport last month, is out to get maximum points against his former employers SC Kiyovu, a team he joined last season.
On the other hand, Kayiranga, who threw in the towel at the end of the 2008/09 season, is also desperate to prove a point against the Blues.
Kayiranga was named Kiyovu coach after Ntagwabira’s decision to join Rayon and is craving for his first Primus league win.
The arch-rivals will clash this afternoon at Amahoro Stadium and although the game is of little significance as far as the title race is concerned, fans expect a thrilling encounter.
In the build-up to the game, Kayiranga, whose side is 12 points clear of the Blues, predicted that the green baggies would win the contest.
"Kiyovu have been one of the consistent teams in the Primus league this season and I don’t expect that to change,” he said.
"Our target is to get as close as we can to APR, who are overwhelming favourites to win the league,” he continued.
Ntagwabira did not hold back as well insisting that the Blues are a much more focused side and are ready to prove their doubters wrong.
"We have won our last two games and want to keep that run going,” he said.
The Blues will be without their influential forward Peter Kagabo.
Kiyovu, who are second on the table, have 33 points.
