Editor,
I am writing to comment on the performance Arsenal FC put up over their weekend encounter with English Premier League leaders Manchester United.
Before the match, many had predicated that Arsenal was in for a beating (myself inclusive) but all the Gunners did was to prove us wrong and beat Manchester United for the first time in their last seven meetings.
With such a young side that has grown together for some seasons now, I have a feeling that very soon, the Gunners will bounce back to their winning ways of early 2000s’.
What makes me more hopeful is the fact that by next year, with the club under a billionaire, they will have all the finances possible to buy at least a few defenders and a world class striker that will without doubt propel Arsenal to the calibre of clubs like Barcelona!
Last night’s victory was important to note and the result threw the English Premier League (EPL) wide open, implying that if Arsenal bag maximum points from their last three games, there is a possibility of defying the odds once again and lift this year’s EPL trophy.
Arsenal fan!
