APR coach Andia Mfutila has called upon football fans across the country to back APR and Rayon Sport ahead of their CAF competition return legs.

During APR’s final home training session ahead of their CAF Champions League second leg against El Zamalek, the Congolese tactician said, "All fans should unite and support all Rwandan clubs participating in the CAF competitions. I call upon APR fans to rally behind Rayon Sport in their game against Harar Beer,"

"Despite the rivalry in our league games, a Rwandan team taking part in CAF competition should be supported by all football fans in the country," Mfutila said.

APR jets out today aboard Kenyan Airways ahead of the Caf second leg scheduled for Sunday.

APR who are trailing Zamalek 1-2 have been boasted by the return of Aime Ndizeye, Mbuyu Twite, Haruna Niyonzima, Kabange Twite and Jean Marie Vianney Rukundo. Ndizeye and Mbuyu are back from a one-game suspension they got during last year’s Champions League second round clash against Maranatha Fiokopo of Togo while the rest have recovered from injury. Meanwhile, APR have off-loaded their Cameroonian import Louis Philippe Belinga after failing to impress. Despite featuring in seven national league games, Belinga failed to score a single goal, a feat which forced the club managers to offload him.

"Belinga failed to prove himself. He was on a test but never excelled," the club manager Capt. Eric Ntazinda told Times Sport.

In a related development, Ethiopia’s Harar Beer is also expected to jet in today ahead of Saturday’s CAF Confederation Cup second leg tie against Rayon Sport at Nyamirambo stadium.

Harar Beer who will reside at Alpha Palace hotel have a 2-0 goal advantage over the Blues.
