The 2008 ASCOKI league has been revised into a five-day tournament. The league which comprises of three sporting disciplines volleyball, basketball and football started yesterday and it will climax on Sunday with the finals.

Teams involved include Bralirwa, Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA), Rwanda Commercial Bank (BCR), Intersec, Ministry of Defense (MOD), Kigali Institute of Education (KIE), Electrogaz, Bank de Kigali (BK) and RAMA.

The league is being played at five venues; Amahoro Stadium, KIE, Cercle Sportif, Maison de Jeune-Kimisagara and Primature.

According to the ASCOKI technical director Jean Pierre Gakire, the first three teams in each discipline will be awarded trophies.

Bralirwa who bagged default points from MOD will play either RRA or RAMA in the final. Basketball defending champions MOD open their campaign with a tie against BK before Electrogaz entertain KIE later on.

In Football, BCR will face defending champions RRA on Saturday while Intersec take on MOD on the same day.
