Religious leaders can help fight corruption

Editor,

Fighting corruption and all forms of injustices is a community responsibility and not the work of the government alone.

Though the government has demonstrated the commitment to instill a culture of accountability among Rwandans, the people should also play their role by turning in those attempting to indulge in the vice. There is no way you can fight corruption without fighting people who practice it.

In addition to preaching morals in society, religious leaders can play a leading role in the fight against corruption. They have a big following and they should use this opportunity to preach about the evils associated with a corruption.
