KIGALI - Several Christian leaders around Kigali will preach revival as the key message for Easter.

Easter  will this year be marked on Sunday April 24.

Speaking to The New Times, yesterday, Bishop Theobald Samedi of Remera Miracle Centre said that preaching revival to Christians would enable them to do good deeds in their lives.

"Jesus’ death and resurrection teaches us, Christians, a lesson of doing great deeds and to be hard working, which will enable our country to achieve sustainable development,” Samedi said.

He added that they would also teach Christians to love one another and strive to promote peace, unity and reconciliation.

Apostle Jane Karamira, from Gatsata Faith Evangelical Church, said that they would urge Christians, especially Genocide survivors, to have hope in Jesus Christ since he died and resurrected for everyone who believes in him.

"In this period of Easter, we will preach the word of God to Christians, especially the orphans and widows of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi,” Apostle Karamira said.

Pastor George Agaba from the Foundation of Peace Ministries, said that, they will teach Christians to embrace family planning so that they bear children they can provide for.

He added that they will also encourage them to always sensitise fellow Rwandans to speak the truth about what happened during the Genocide.
