Editor,
I would like to react to an article published in, last week’s, science and technology section, titled – "Unveiling ICT secrets—Red Alert.”The author raised an issue that has been of concern to many people.
There are USB flash drives being sold around town that are counterfeit. I bought one from a hawker, and I least expected established stores to do the same, as the article pointed out.
My request is for the Rwanda Bureau of Standards to help address the situation before an unsuspecting public continues to be fleeced by unscrupulous businessmen.
Businesses always on the lookout for ways to make quick money; however, swindling innocent people is unacceptable.
