RUBAVU - Students and instructors from the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College, yesterday, toured development projects in Rubavu District, including the methane gas project and beverage manufacturer, BRALIRWA.

The delegation is on a week- long study tour under the theme: Promoting the Integration of Africa through Economic, Socio-cultural, Technological and Military Cooperation.

"This is a valuable tour to the students of the college since part of it, is to carry out research and share experiences with other countries,” said Brigadier General Adjetey Anan, the Defence Advisor to the Ghanaian Embassy in Ethiopia, who led the delegation.

The Ghanaian Staff College periodically conducts study tours across the continent for its students, and currently, its students are visiting Gabon, Gambia, South Africa and Rwanda.

Anan, who served with the United Nations mission in Rwanda during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, was impressed by the country’s progress.

"Due to a committed government, this country has registered tremendous economic progress from 1994 and the development programmes such as the methane gas is evidence,” he said.
 
Anan noted that the Ghanaian government would support Rwanda’s effort to establish its own military staff college, in the near future.
