KIGALI - The Rwanda Development Board, (RDB), is set to publish, for the second time running, an Investors Services Directory for 2011-2013.
The publication, whose first edition was released in 2009, is designed to facilitate, ease and allow both local and foreign investors and the general public to access information on services offered in various sectors.
"It is important that investors, visitors to Rwanda and the general public find information relevant to various services they need in one document,” said RDB’s Chief Operations Officer, Clare Akamanzi.
"The directory will make it easy to access services, locations and addresses in a more search-friendly manner,” she added.
Produced in thousands of copies, the directory is distributed free of charge to investors who visit RDB offices, hotels, public institutions, private companies and diplomatic missions in Rwanda and all Rwandan embassies globally.
RDB also aims at increasing the publication’s accessibility by availing it at all entry points of the country such as the airport and all border posts as well as having it uploaded on the RDB website.
Eric Okiro, a Kenyan private consultant who came to Rwanda two years ago, believes information is vital for business to progress.
"I find the directory useful. I came to Rwanda and a friend gave me a copy that I used to get a couple of phone contacts of various organisations,” he said.
The Directory is published by RDB in collaboration with Great Lakes Communications and Media Centre.
