Editor,
On Sunday, Christians from all walks of life will converge at places of worship to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, our lord. This is not only an historical event but also the sign of God’s power over all the forces which can keep us from his love and goodness.
During Easter celebrations, I would love to see all Christians standing firm against the powers of evil and turn to Jesus Christ. Being one, means being together, breaking bread, praising God, but also giving and sharing with other Christians in need.
During this period, we are called upon to continue practising the resurrection values and fellowship in our own contexts.
The day calls for our comfortable existence. Brothers and sisters, may we be impelled by the Spirit to be one as we bear witness in today’s world and work with joy for justice, for change, for peace and for unity? Amen.
