SC KIYOVU may be out of the reckoning for the Primus National Football League (PNFL) but Jean Marie Ntagwabira has vowed to make life hard for the defending champions APR when the two sides clash this Saturday.

The champions hold a 12-point lead over second placed Kiyovu with eight matches remaining and victory on Saturday will leave the club needing three more wins to wrap up their 13th league trophy in 16 years.

Ntagwabira, who is arguably the most successful coach in Rwanda’s football history after winning the league with APR and Atraco, concedes that Kiyovu are outsiders as far as winning the league is concerned but still wants to delay the army side’s celebrations.

"They (APR) will without doubt win the league but we shall not be rolling over on Saturday. We will do everything to win the match because we want to consolidate second position,” the 37-year-old said.

The Green Baggies enjoy a six-point advantage over third placed Police.

In a related development, the league has been brought forward and will now climax on June 15 as opposed to July 9.

The head of competitions in Ferwafa Felix Nzeyimana explained that the decision was reached after a meeting which convened top flight club presidents last week.
