THE National University of Rwanda (NUR) has beefed up their volleyball squad with four new players as they continue their preparation for the CAVB Africa Club Championship to be hosted in Egypt from April 26 – May 8.Lawrence Yakan joins from APR, Flavien Ndamukunda and Pierre Marshal Kwizera crossed from Lycee de Nyanza while Elie Mutabazi joins from France.

Lawrence Yakan joins from APR, Flavien Ndamukunda and Pierre Marshal Kwizera crossed from Lycee de Nyanza while Elie Mutabazi joins from France.
According to NUR head coach Fidele Nyirimana, the quartet brings experience to the side.
"They are great additions to the side. They have been around for some time and know what to expect from the opposition at this level,” he said before adding, "Our goal is to get to the semi-finals,”
After three years without a trophy, the varsity side ended their trophy drought last season when they lifted the national league title as well as the Carre d’AS trophy.
