TWO local coaches have been awarded Level A coaching licenses by the German Football Federation on Friday at the German ambassador’s residence in Kigali city.

Giving out the coaching certificates, Frank Maier, Counsellor Deputy Head of Mission at the German embassy said that the courses have been successfully implemented for more than 35 years and this proves that they have extremely been effective in developing coaching skills.
Mashami (assistant U-17 coach) and Habimana (head coach, Muhanga FC) was tutored on reflection and evolution of football, team tactics, football competency, football training theories, competition and training frequency, football trainer qualities, match evaluation and observation, observation, training of professional clubs and sport medication specifications.
"Between Rwanda and German, there are many links that provide the basis for a close, cordial relationship for decades and more. It is a relationship based on common trust, values and passion. And I think one of the common passions that we share is our passion for football,” said Maier.
The Ferwafa boss Brig. Gen Jean Bosco Kazura was grateful for the continued cooperation that German has extend to Rwanda in the past few years.
"We convey our deepest gratitude to the Rhenanie-Palatinat and DFB for their good work which has played a vital role in elevating the country’s football,” said Kazura, urging these coaches to stay focused and always think of how to improve their standards further up to the professional level.
