APR’s midfielder ace Jean Baptiste Mugiraneza scored his 10th league goal of the season yesterday as the military side thrashed Amagaju 3-0 at Kigali regional stadium, Nyamirambo. With 10 goals Migi is the league leading net buster.
The champions are yet to lose or draw any match this season, and the 22-year-old gifted midfielder has been a driving force for the club, which has won all thirteen of their league matches.
Hegman Ngoma and Kabange Twite scored the other goals for APR. The 12-league winners now enjoy a 12 point cushion over second place Kiyovu, who were held to a 1-1 draw by La Jeunesse.
La Jeunesse scored first in the first half through striker Niyigena Majariwa but Jean Marie Ntwagwabira’s team, which is targeting second place, equalized in the 76th minute through winger Jabir Irakunda.
Kiyovu now has a nine point advantage over third place Police F.C but that gap maybe reduced if Police beat AS Muhanga this afternoon at regional stadium, Nyamirambo.
However, the shock result of the weekend came from Rubavu where visiting Rayon Sports went down 2-1 to the hosts, Marines.
The blues are have been embroiled in a coaching crisis in the past few weeks after head coach Andy Mfutila and later assistant coach Emmanuel Ruremesha both left the club after financial disagreement with the club management.
