Carlos Alos Ferrer is in advanced talks with Rwanda’s football governing body (Ferwafa) over a possibility to extend his stay as Amavubi head coach, Times Sport has established.
The Spanish tactician has a one-year contract which runs until March 28 and it remains uncertain whether his deal will be renewed with coach entering his last days of his contract.

Ferrer’s major task is to qualify Rwanda to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations that will take place in Cote D&039;Ivoire in January 2024.
His side has played two games in the qualifiers, drawing with Mozambique before losing 1-0 to African champions Senegal in Dakar.
He has a month left on his contract but, asked about his future, Ferrer said that negotiations over his contract extension are underway.
"We still have not signed an agreement. We discussed it but not yet signed, we will see," he told Times Sport.

Times Sport understands that the tactician could put pen to paper on his new contract before he names the Amavubi squad for the AFCON qualifying fixtures against Benin on 22nd and 27th March respectively.
Ferrer previously coached clubs including FAR Rabat in Morocco, Qatar SC in Qatar, Kairat FC in Kazakhstan and Enosis Neon Paralimni in Cyprus.
