Rwanda’s law banning the, production, importation, sale and use of polythene bags has led to the country’s nomination for the Future Policy Award by the World Future Council.
The Minister of Environment and Lands, Stanislas Kamanzi, welcomed the nominations.
"Our environment is a vital but fragile resource. Our growing population will always need clean water and fresh air, and so it is critical to protect our environment and properly manage Rwanda’s natural resources.
