Exodus 20:12 says, "Honour your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.” This means that respect them, you will live longer.

Deuteronomy 27:16 says, "Cursed is the man who dishonors his father or his mother.” Means that if you donot honors your parents, you will ruin you future.
