Rayon Sport is looking for a new coach after Andy Mfutila failed to report back for work, according to the Club’s Secretary General Olivier Gakwaya.
The Congolese tactician signed a four month contract with the blues, early last month, and was scheduled to begin work in the second half of the league campaign, which started early this month.
Gakwaya told Times Sport yesterday that Mfutila requested for permission to go back to his home country, where he was supposed to take charge of the U-23 team’s Olympic Games qualifier and has not communicated since.
"After signing a contract to take charge of the team, he told us that he was going back to Congo to take charge of the team’s 2012 Olympic Games Qualifier against Botswana, But we later came to know that he was lying and he broke all kind of communication.”
"We have tried reaching him in vain. Right now we don’t consider him our coach anymore.” Gakwaya said.
Emmanuel Ruremesha is currently in charge of the blues who are current lying fourth in the league.
