Rwandans in DRC hold church service for Genocide victims

Rwandans and friends of Rwanda, on Thursday, converged in the Congolese capital Kinshasa for the 17th commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.  The commemoration was marked by a church service held at Sacre Coeur Church and attended by representatives from 13 diplomatic missions; Uganda, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Italy Belgium, Burundi Russia, Zambia, Nigeria, United States and German.

Rwandans and friends of Rwanda, on Thursday, converged in the Congolese capital Kinshasa for the 17th commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

The commemoration was marked by a church service held at Sacre Coeur Church and attended by representatives from 13 diplomatic missions; Uganda, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Italy Belgium, Burundi Russia, Zambia, Nigeria, United States and German.

The UN Special Representative for the DRC and Head of the UN Stabilization Mission in the Congo (MONUSCO), Roger A. Meece also attended the function.

The Congolese Government was represented by Minister of Relations with the Parliament, Richard Muyej Mangenz Mans.
