As the 17th commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi kicked off, different memorial activities to honour the victims and offer support to survivors were held in all parts of the country.

In the showbiz arena, gospel singer-songwriter Diane Nkusi Umutoni used her celebrity status to raise awareness in support of the orphans of the Genocide.

The singer also dedicated her new song ‘Humura’ to the orphans. The track features Aime Uwimana and contains healing and consoling messages.

The ‘La Vie’ star is expected to visit Genocide orphanages and homes. Meanwhile, the musician is presently writing a book titled "La folie de la foi” which is expected to be released sometime this year.
