CHARLES Tibingana Mwesigye has not ruled out playing in the Primus National Football League (PNFL), the Under-17 star has said.

The budding international turned in some brilliant performances in this year’s Africa Junior Championship, including a goal in the 2-1 defeat to eventual winners, Burkina Faso in the final.

While he has been linked with some of PNFL’s top clubs, including reigning champions APR and Rayon Sport, the right winger, who is part of Richard Tardy’s provisional squad preparing for the Fifa U-17 World Cup in Mexico, recently told Time Sport that he would only consider playing for APR.

"You never know but I can only consider playing for APR in Rwanda,” the Proline match maker said.

"But if a great opportunity comes along, then you have to consider it seriously.”

"If I leave Proline, my wish is to play in Europe. I still want to grow as a player and I believe Europe presents a very good avenue for me to progress.”

Asked about Mwesigye, Proline coach Mujib Kasule said he has matured and is on the way to becoming a very good player.

"When he came back from the African championship, he was a different player and has been a positive influence to his team-mates since then.”

"He has all the ingredients to make it to the top.”"He’ll be an amazing player. Before the African Junior Championship, he was not popular in Rwanda but he is now one of the most popular players in the country,” the former Fifa agent turned pundit said.

"Everything is on his side; he is young and hungry for more success so I have no doubt that he will be a really top player.”
