RWANDA’s volleyball body, FRVB is lobbying to have the annual Genocide Memorial volleyball tournament incorporated into the Confederation of Africa Volleyball (CAVB) calendar.

According to FRVB vice president Michel Umurame, discussions are already underway. "Hopefully, they (CAVB) will consider our proposal,” Umurame said, before adding, "We want the tournament to be recognized by the whole African continent.”

This year, the tournament will run from May 21-22. Last year, APR dominated the event after winning the men and women titles.
