THIS year, Buffaloes are chasing for a record fifth successive national rugby league title.
Last season, the Remera outfit swept their fourth title in style after winning all their matches in what was a one-legged league.
They finished nine points clear of their closest challengers ‘Sharks’ and head coach Gerard Nsenga expects a similar display this season.
"We are hungry for more success. We have a solid team and the commitment to lift a fifth title in a row is there for everyone to see,” the 30-year-old said.
The league paces off next month with nine teams in contention.
On top of defending champions Buffaloes, other teams in the race include Lion de fer, Grizzlies, Sharks, Gorillas, Tumba College, Muhanga, Puma and ISAE Busogo.
Similar to last season, this year’s edition will be one-legged.
