RWANDA Revenue Authority (RRA) have not been at their best during the Group stage of the 24th Africa Volleyball Women Club Championship and Jean Luc Ndayikengurukiye concedes that his guns have to fire from all cylinders this afternoon when they take on tournament favourites Kenya Pipeline in one of four quarter-final matches to be played at Nazarene University.
The Kenyan side, which won the competition in 2009, has without doubt been one of the in-form teams in the competition after winning all their Group matches.
Ahead of the do or die match, Ndayikengurukiye said, "We are playing against the best team in the tournament so we have to be at our best to stand a chance of reaching the semi-finals.”
"History is against us but we should use that to our advantage,” the former men’s national team captain added.
Similar to the group stage, RRA will concentrate on good serves which were key to their two wins.
In the other encounters, Ethiopia’s Watersport will battle defending champions Kenya Prisons, Algeria’s Bejaia take on Egypt’s Al Ahly while Nigeria’s Jos South Rock clash with Cameroon’s Injs.
From Group D, St. Denis Olympique from Reunion islands and Cameroon’s Efuolon are out of the competition but will have to play for ranking positions 9-15.
The other teams that did not make it to the quarter-final stage are Kenya’s very own KCB, Burundi’s Les AS, Botswana’s Kutlwano, Tanzania’s Jeshi Stars and Algeria’s NCB.
