National league debutants Electrogaz has released their experienced first choice and former national team custodian Jean Bigirimana.
Electrogaz coach Abdu Mbarushimana told Times Sport that Bigirimana has been released officially after tendering in his transfer request.
"He (Bigirimana) has been released after showing willingness to leave. We could not stand in his way thus letting him go,” Mbarushimana said.
Bigirimana was recruited by the newly promoted side at the start of this year’s league season.
He however fell out with his bosses after Electrogaz’s 1-3 loss to AS Kigali a fortnight ago.
Bigirimana who was blamed for the loss never returned back to training, a feat which forced the club to suspend him indefinitely.
However, according to a Ugandan daily,Bigirimana is set to join Ugandan super league big spenders Nalubaale FC at a tune of Frw. 3 million.
Bigirimana was recruited by SC Kiyovu from Ugandan side SC Villa during the 2005/2006 season, a time where his form taught the eyes of the Ferwafa officials.
Ferwafa summoned him in the Amavubi Stars team which was preparing for the 2006 Nations Cup qualifiers as well as the Cecafa Cup championships.
