I have heard several reports from districts that residents have been selling the mosquito nets given by the Ministry of health. These reports must be investigated and the people involved punished.

Recently, a Ministry of Health official, Dr Karema, was quoted in the media saying about 3 million of mosquito nets had been distributed.

Of course this is a good idea but the ministry officials should not stop at distributing the mosquito nets. They should go down and confirm whether the beneficiaries indeed use the nets.

You might find that the government is sending mosquito nets only to benefit people in the neighboring countries where some of the nets are sold by unscrupulous individuals.
