When you go to the gym, it would not be nice to look as if you are just carrying all those things with your hands or if you put them altogether in a small bag with a not so good quality. This is why you need a good quality gym bag.
Ideally a gym bag should be able to hold a water bottle; a pair of sneakers, a change of workout clothes and a sweat towel. The perfect gym bag should have two basic components, durability, and storage space. When getting ready for the gym, the last thing you want to worry about is whether or not all of your things will fit.
While choosing a gym bag, you should go for the ones with many pockets and compartments to keep your wallets, keys, mobile phones, etc. Also check if it has padded shoulder straps as it would be more comfortable to carry them. Check for strong seams and strong zippers so that it would last long.
Also buy a gym bag with a fabric that is both durable and easy to clean.
The third, and possibly most important, aspect to consider is the bag’s amount of storage space. The perfect gym bag will be able to hold your toiletries, gym clothes, towel, and shoes comfortably.
Materials; Nylon or Cotton are pretty much your go-to materials when it comes to a decent quality, long-lasting, and above all, inexpensive gym bag. They are also, since they are easy to clean and they’re highly durable, and available in a many of colours and styles to suit your preferences.
Caring for gym bag
It may sound silly, but we know after a long hard session at the gym the last thing on your mind is taking steps to care for your gear, so remember to do these things.
Your gym bag can become one sweaty, dirty, germy, odd smelling mess if you don’t frequently clean it out. Making sure that your gym bag gets frequently cleaned out will help to ensure that it smells fresh.
Like any other bag, gym bags will keep their shape and last longer if you don’t hang them. Place yours on an un-crowded and dust-free shelf.
Take any wet, sweaty clothing out of your bag as soon as possible. Moisture will tarnish the material of both your clothing, and your bag. Wash your bag at least once a month.
Take everything out of your gym bag, including what is in the pockets. If you’ve just used the gym bag, give it a little while to air out before you continue cleaning it.
Wash it and let the gym bag air dry by putting it on a flat surface, such as on a table. After it is dried, wipe it down including the handles, the bottom and everywhere in between then leave it on a flat surface to continue to dry.
