Groove Awards 2011: Full list of nominees

SIX Rwandan gospel artists will participate in the 2011 Groove Awards with Skiza which will be held at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC), on April 30. Six countries from the region will be represented in the 6th edition of the Groove Awards, which will be aired live on NTV.

SIX Rwandan gospel artists will participate in the 2011 Groove Awards with Skiza which will be held at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC), on April 30.

Six countries from the region will be represented in the 6th edition of the Groove Awards, which will be aired live on NTV.

Several gospel artists from across East Africa, submitted their entries and judges announced the final list of nominees on Tuesday March 29, during the Groove nomination night.

In Kenya, nominees will be recognised in the categories: Best Male Artist, Best Female Artist, Best Group, New artist/group, Best Song, Best Worship Song and Best Album. Also on the list include, Best Producer, Best Video and Best Collaboration.

The Groove Awards seeks to promote, expose and celebrate gospel talents across Africa.

Since its inception in 2004, over 600 artists/groups have been nominated and over 100 Groove statuettes presented to musicians in Kenya and those from other East African countries.

The Groove Awards aims at promoting and connecting gospel artists across Africa, opening doors for upcoming musicians/ songwriters, raising the standards in the music industry and uniting gospel musicians through celebrating excellence in music.
