PSF elects committees at sector level

Members of the business community in the three districts of Kigali city on Thursday elected their representatives at sector level. The exercise that started upcountry will also see district committees elected on April 5, 2011 at PSF headquarters as election of provincial committees are expected to follow.

Members of the business community in the three districts of Kigali city on Thursday elected their representatives at sector level.

The exercise that started upcountry will also see district committees elected on April 5, 2011 at PSF headquarters as election of provincial committees are expected to follow.

Briefing the media about the exercise, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PSF, Rogers Munyampenda, said the move aims at creating a clear system that will help both the federation and the business community.

The committees will represent PSF at every leadership level.
 
"Through these committees, we shall get right information about challenges in business and therefore diverse solutions,” Munyampenda said.

The exercise, which is part of PSF`s broad restructuring process, aims at protecting the interests of private businesses through provision of quality services.

The elected committees comprise of the president, vice chairman, secretary, and advisers.

At the provincial level, elective positions will include the president, first vice president, second vice president, while district presidents will be the administrative advisors.
