KARONGI- Staff of Karongi District, were left in shock Wednesday morning when they discovered that thieves had broken into the offices and stolen office equipment.
"I entered the office only to find a broken widow and computers with all their accessories missing. I was shocked.” a district official said.

He said the incident could have occurred in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.

The stolen items included two computers, two national flags and an assortment of other office property.

Police in Rubengera sector are holding four local defence guards in connection with the robbery.

Yves Ningabire, the district’s Executive Secretary, confirmed that investigations were underway to track down the thieves.

"With some of the suspects under custody, we are working closely with the police to identify the thugs,” he said.
