20 Journalists train on EAC integration

Twenty Journalists from member states of the East African Community (EAC. are undergoing training to enhance understanding of regional integration and policies of the bloc.The training that started Tuesday and ends today in Arusha, Tanzania aims at improving the quality of reporting on EAC matters within the region.

Twenty Journalists from member states of the East African Community (EAC. are undergoing training to enhance understanding of regional integration and policies of the bloc.

The training that started Tuesday and ends today in Arusha, Tanzania aims at improving the quality of reporting on EAC matters within the region.

The training is organized by TradeMark East Africa, a non-profit organization that provides a durable platform for scaling-up of Aid for East Africa Community.

Nelson Karanja, the Head of Marketing and Communication at Trade Mark East Africa, said the journalists underwent intensive training on regional integration reporting dwelling massively from the EAC experience.

"The training will enable participants exchange and share knowledge and experience as well as offer the opportunity for regional networking,” Karanja added.

Journalists also had a tour of the new EAC complex under construction, with the support from the German government, expected to open in October this year.
