Located in Kimuhura - Mutara zone III, 7 kilometres from Kigali International Airport and 5 kilometres from the City centre; Comme Chez-Moi restaurant is one of Kigali’s eateries that serve a variety of international cuisines in its green gardens.

Atmosphere:

The restaurant is a dream hide-out for travellers longing to relax in a serene setting. Soft music plays in the background and keeps one relaxed in the gardens with different art pieces that portray the African culture.

The ever green vegetation attracts different bird species that spice the sound of music. It is a must visit for couples seeking a romantic hide-out.

Inside the restaurant are beautiful yet simple African art pieces displayed on the walls. Much of the decoration fabrics are red and blue. There is spacious and secure parking that caters for at least 10 cars.

Cuisine:

The restaurant has a wide selection of international cuisines, Thai and French. These include Tilapia fillet with sauce of one’s choice and green chicken curry. It also serves African cuisine that include Congolese smoked goat and chicken in palm oil.

Preparation for fresh Satch brochettes, spring rolls and Tom Kha kai takes about 30 minutes. Main dishes cost between Frw1500 to Frw7000.

Beverages:

Comme Chez-Moi serves fresh juice and alcoholic drinks.
Juice cocktail ranges between Frw1500 to Frw2500, while alcoholic drinks are served between Frw1000 and Frw5000. The bar is stocked with almost every type of wine, spirits, gins and beers both local and international.

These include an assortment of liquors such as black label, mandarine Napoleone from Holland; red wine and white wine, chivas rega whisky, Jack Daniels Dimple and various cocktails.

Staff:

They are welcoming and attentive to attend to customers with a smile in their personalized uniform.

Bad points … if any:

The restaurant is off the main road which makes it difficult to access for pedestrians. Under corks space is limited - you don’t want to be left out when it rains.

Manager’s comment:

"Our restaurant is committed to offer good quality service. All customers get a unique experience while here. Ultimately, it is not what we want to sell, but what the customer wants to buy that we offer. We are in the process of doing some refurbishments in the near future to promote tourism in the country.”
