Kigali City Council has demolished buildings accusing the owners of having built them in violation of the required procedures.

Whereas I totally stand against building structures without respecting Kigali Master Plan or the country’s regulations, it’s costly to bring down already constructed houses.
I suggest that, KCC put in place a mobile inspection team to arrest the situation.

We have had cases where demolished structures had been approved by authorities in the area.

What is the work of the inspection Department at KCC? I think investigations should be carried out. These are losses that can be avoided.
